{ k's girls }

Most of my friends in the city don't have kids and I miss hanging out with them so I loved spending the afternoon in Denver with Kristen and her girls.

Brooklyn made me an i love jen plate and I wrote I love brooklyn on the back.

She told me I write like a princess.

seriously cute.

Kris...I'll spend the afternoon with you and your girls anytime!!!

I LOVE the city but I LOVE getting out just as much.

Most people don't realize that just a short drive out of the city there are miles and miles of gorgeous, lush, forests.

I love my heels and saturday city brunches
but I'm still a CO girl at heart and love that camping is just a short drive away.

stars. picnics. lakes. campfire stories. fireflies.

PERFECTION.

I just watched a 1967 french musical and I don't speak french.

I have julie to thank for this one. She had it on one day and I fell in LOVE with the colors...the wardrobe...the tone of the film...EVERYTHING.

It just made me happy.

{ knots }

For Kelly's wedding, I got my hair done...when I say done, I mean DONE. Curling, teasing, bobby pinning and hair spraying and I was ready to go. It literally did not move all night but after hours of wedding festivities and dancing and gabbing the night away, it was time to take out the do...easier said then done.

{ something }

...saw this quote from kb3 today and couldn't resist posting.

"Either write something worth reading, or do something worth writing."
Benjamin Franklin

love it.

I think I've been doing more writing lately and not enough doing.

I need to change that.

It's time to DO.

{ starry nights }

I miss the stars.

I love the city lights of NYC but there is nothing better than laying out watching the stars all night long.

...even better when it's up in the mountains, with a cute guy and great tunes.

My dad used to sit with us on the back porch in the summers when I was little, just watching and talking.

perfect.

{ this is anvil }

A big thanks to Doze for getting us to rally (on a school night!) for a late night screening of Anvil
a live performance of the band.

Only in NYC...well, or maybe LA but NYC is better.

These boys (well, er, 50 year old men!) have a dream and they're still working at it...30 years later.

We asked them what we could do to help and they said promote the movie and promote the band so that's what I will do.

Don't worry mom, a heavy metal groupie isn't on my agenda but I like supporting dreams so I'll cheer them on from the sidelines.

I wouldn't if it wasn't worth the time but it is so go see the movie...laugh...shed a few tears and be inspired.
 I was.
