As a new yorker
it's easy to hate times sqaure
It's always crowded with tourists
and one of the perks of living here
is a diet free of chain restaurants
But on my way home tonight
I started looking around at all the tourists
snapping photos of the famed city lights.
Such excitement and awe on their faces.
It made me happy.
Times Square is still not my favorite spot in New York
but I'm going to look at it differently now...
through the eyes of a tourist
here for the very first time.
Because there is excitement and happiness in that
and a life filled with awe and wonder and first times is a happy life.
